Allan Harris(vocal, guitar). World-class singer, guitarist and songwriter from Brooklyn, known for his interpretations of jazz standards and skills, which remind of Net King Cole. Allan has cultivated a global following, playing for packed audiences and receiving outstanding reviews throughout the United States, Europe, Russia and the Far East. A three-time winner of the New York Nightlife Award for "Outstanding Jazz Vocalist”, was awarded with Chamber Music of America Residency Grant Award, P.A.C.E Award for Jazz Excellence (Miami) and Backstage Bistro Award “Ongoing Achievement in Jazz”. Allan is regularly featured at the world’s great music festivals. Allan played together with Tommy Flanagan, Cyrus Chestnut, Bill Charlep, Eric Reed, Benny Green, Bruce Barth, Harold Betters, Ella Fitzgerald, Roger Humphries, Ray Brown, Mark Whitfield, Clark Terry, Claudio Roditi, and winner of the Latin Grammys, Nestor Torres, Christian McBride and Loren Schoenberg, Metropole Orchestra, Chicago Jazz Orchestra, The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Rias Big Band, Thilo Wolfe Big Band and others. Allan regularly plays at international festivals, such as Finland's Espoo Jazz Festival, Sweden's Linkoping Jazz Festival, Jazz Aspen, Austria’s Wiener Jazzfest, Germany’s Swing IT Concert, Italy’s Umbria Jazz Festival è New Zealand's Queenstown Jazz Festival. Also gives free guitar lessons and charity concerts with Vince Gill and Amy Grant. Together with Tommy Flanagan he performed at Sotheby’s. The musician is a permanent resident of the Kennedy Centre, and SMOKE club as well. Besides, Allan is involved in theatrical activities: “Cross That River” is a full-scale western musical with his participation. In 2009 it received rave reviews during the New York Musical Theater Festival. He is considered to be the one of three best jazz vocalists in the USA. Several original songs from “Cross That River” are also frequently featured in The Allan Harris Band’s concert performances.
